“Azərşəkər”

• Construction of Imishli Sugar Factory was started in 2003 with the blessing of national leader Heydar Aliyev. Design and assembly works of Imishli Sugar Factory equipped with world-class technologies were carried out by Azerbaijani engineers and assembly staff under the supervision of specialists from Germany, Poland, Turkey and Ukraine. On March 23, 2006, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, officially opened the Imishli Sugar Factory. The Imishli Sugar Factory, which plays a leading role in the State Program on Socio-Economic Development of Regions, currently operates in the production of granulated sugar, animal feed, loaf sugar and ethanol. The annual production capacity of Imishli Sugar Factory is 60,000 tons. With the foundation of the Azerbaijan Sugar Production Association, employment of tens of thousands of people was provided. Today Imishli city has turned into an industrial city and has become one of the most self-financing regions mainly as a result of the sugar factory. Today Imishli Sugar Factory plays an important role in the development and industrialization of the region.
• Founded in 2006 by the Azerbaijan Sugar Production Association, our “Azərşəkər” brand has introduced our sugar products consumed by everyone with pleasure in the country, to its buyers. Since 2011, “Azərşəkər” sugar products produced at Imishli Loaf Sugar Factory have been exported to Russia, Georgia, the Middle East and Central Asia as well as meeting domestic demand. “Azərşəkər” which has been introduced to the market since 2006, is a brand being able to maintain the consumer confidence it has earned over the years.
